Fishing Report 4-9-21

Lake Level: 862.32
Outflow: 8 cfs
Water Temp: 51 degrees

Crappie: Good
The fish are getting shallower! I’ve heard of a lot of fish being caught in inches to a few feet of water. Jigs and minnows both are working well. The north end of the lake has a shallower bite going on but I have heard of some fish being caught in 2’-4’ around the bridges as well as the marinas.

Bass: Fair
The bass fishing is picking up. Some good fish are being caught shallow around stumps near a channel swing on jigs and beaver style soft plastics. Jerk baits are working on main lake and secondary points. A little breeze helps that bite. Some wiggle wart fish are being caught as well. Spinnerbaits are working in the same areas when a little wind is hitting the bank.

Walleye: Fair
I don’t have a good update on the walleye bite. Still reports of fish being caught on the dam using jerkbaits, flikr shads, and shad raps.

Catfish: Good
The channel cats are biting pretty good. Flats near deeper water seem to be producing the best. Minnows, night crawlers, cut bait, and stink bait are all working well.
